Senior Full-stack Developer

The Senior Back-End Developer, reporting to the VP of Technology, will play a critical role in managing server-side development, handling databases, and ensuring the smooth functionality of our platform.

The Senior Full-Stack Developer, reporting to the Team Lead, will play a critical role in managing client and server side development, be instrumental in developing components of our web and mobile app, as well as ensure smooth functionality of current and future dev projects.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Engineering team and help us optimize our application for speed and scalability.

*What you’ll be doing*

- Design and develop server-side applications and APIs
- Develop and maintain back-end as well front-end components of our web applications
- Identify and address performance bottlenecks such as render-blocking resources, large asset sizes, inefficient code, etc
- Collaborate with UX/UI designers to translate design mockups into interactive web applications
- Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability
- Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to discuss the needs, design, and functionality of our website and interface
- Implement testing, and write unit tests, e2e tests using test framework using libraries such as react-testing library or jest to ensure individual components of functions act as expected
- Discuss improvements and processes with the team lead
- Stay up to date on industry trends and emerging technologies, advocating for their adoption where beneficial to the project and company
- Ensure best practices in software development
