Description:
We are currently looking for a highly motivated individual to join the Corporate FP&A team in the position of Senior Financial Analyst. This individual will have responsibility for Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) in support of corporate functions.
This role will be responsible for preparing month-end management reports, including compiling large amounts of data from multiple sources in Excel, reconciling data from various systems, and working to automate these reports in management reporting tools.
The successful candidate must be able to work independently and proactively and be comfortable in a position which offers significant responsibility and interaction with others, both inside and outside of the finance organization. A strong financial background is required, with a keen interest in reporting tools and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
Responsibilities
Provide guidance on expense management, productivity, budgeting and forecasting through financial analysis and ensuring creation of timely reports
Support the close process and review accruals and financial postings for completeness and comparison to forecast
Directly accesses SAP, Planful (forecasting) and other systems and extracts data to analyze information in support of the business
Monthly close and results reporting (with a focused review of performance versus Plan and prior periods) for corporate functions. This individual will monitor performance to ensure plan commitments are met and advise management on any actions needed to address identified risks and opportunities to their business plans
Preparation of the detailed operating expense budgets for the corporate functions, in addition to supporting company-wide budget and forecast processes, including rolling up the consolidated annual budget and quarterly forecasts
Preparation of detailed Special Charges reporting package for Senior Management
Ad hoc analysis and reports, as required per business needs
Works special projects for continuous automation and efficiencies within financial tasks performed
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business Administration or Accounting; Certifications a plus
3-5 years of experience in Financial Planning & Analysis/Accounting work experience (can include co-op terms) preferred
Excellent to Expert in Excel and PowerPoint; Some experience building and managing complex financial models a plus
Strong work ethic – self-starter, motived, eager to learn
Ability to resolve issues and adapt to change
Demonstrated creative and critical thinking skills
Ability to work with large and disparate data sets from multiple sources/systems
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage competing priorities and work independently under some guidance
