Senior Engineer

Description:

As a Senior Engineer you will be responsible for managing the key accounts of both existing and new strategic port clients. You will be responsible for growing order inflow and revenue and grow trusted relationships through project facilitation and management of timely and high-quality solutions.

You will be coordinating with teams of technical project managers to align deliverables and timelines to fit the needs of your key accounts. When required, you will take the role of project manager leading specialist teams of local and international experts to deliver project and SaaS implementations to the highest standard of excellence and on time.

You will take an active role in supporting senior management in executing strategic business development initiatives targeting both new and existing clients, take initiative to pursue new leads and prepare supporting cost benefit analysis and proof of concept studies to facilitate strategic sales efforts. You will play an active role in maintaining an ongoing supportive dialogue with your key accounts and growth prosperous business relationships based on accountability, integrity, and trust.

What we’re looking for

We are looking for a profile with the following skills and qualifications:

• At least five years of professional experience in technical project delivery within coastal metocean or port engineering. Preferably involving a range of solutions such as physical or numerical modelling of hydrodynamics, waves and marine sediments.
• Demonstrated track record of business development, sales and growing key accounts or the very least a demonstrated potential for growing into such capacity with training and management support.
• Strong commercial mindset with an action-oriented focus
• Superior communication and collaboration skills
• Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills
• Fluent in English

Additional qualifications include:

• Professional Engineer registration preferred but not required
• Valid Canadian or US passport or ability to readily obtain one
• French, Spanish and/or Portuguese language capabilities a plus
