Description:
As product owner within the monitoring and observability team, you will focus on the vision and organizational value of our capacity optimization and network monitoring capabilities. You are a seasoned technologist that has a passion for making systems more observable and reliable. You will work closely with application teams, ensuring business services are instrumented and resilient.
What you will do
- Define and maintain product vision that aligns with team and technology goals
- Evangelize tooling capabilities and use of services to internal teams and stakeholders
- Collaborate with stakeholders on sprint planning, oversight of backlogs, understanding user requirements, and release management
- Collaborate with vendors for product support, new feature enhancements and contract renewals
- Define best practices to make our systems and services measurable and work with our partners to implement
- Provide daily operational support for products, ensure they are updated regularly and adopt new features
- Develop business cases to justify strategic investment in systems architecture, including analysis of future growth or cost reduction opportunities
- Work with leadership to establish and maintain product roadmaps that align with the platform strategic mission and objectives
- Manage risk control and audit activities across supported services

- Comprehensive understanding of monitoring & observability, site reliability engineering practices, DevOps, data analytics, agile methodology, and cloud computing
- Desire to provide technical leadership as well as perform technical tasks and investigations

- Desire to stay on top of technology growth, learn new skills, and advocate for instrumentation across business units
- Strong sense of accountability and desire to build quality sustainable solutions
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills to a diverse audience
- Experience with Splunk, Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Solarwinds, Turbonomic, or similar monitoring and observability technologies
- Experience with Jira, Confluence, or similar technologies
Desired Qualifications
- Degree/diploma in computer science, engineering, or equivalent work experience
- Technical leadership experience
- ITIL 4, Agile, and/or IT related certifications
- 5+ years of relevant experience
