Deloitte Canada is looking for a passionate and experienced Senior Consultant to join its Strategy and Business Design (SBD) team, working with top-tier clients across Financial Services. As part of the SBD team, you’ll work on high-impact projects for financial services clients, addressing their most critical strategic challenges—from crafting corporate strategies to driving business transformations, process redesign, and cost optimization initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
✅ Apply your financial services expertise to solve client challenges across Retail Banking, Payments, Wealth Management, and related sectors.
✅ Lead and contribute to strategy development and business transformation projects, from concept creation to implementation.
✅ Work directly with clients to understand their unique challenges, frame solutions, and deliver tangible outputs.
✅ Synthesize complex analysis into clear and compelling narratives that inform and influence C-level decision-making.
✅ Mentor and support junior team members, fostering collaboration and knowledge-sharing.
✅ Contribute to Deloitte’s internal knowledge base by sharing insights, trends, and innovative solutions within financial services.
✅ Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams across Deloitte, bringing diverse perspectives to client engagements.
Requirements:
✔️ Minimum 3 years of Financial Services experience OR at least 2 years of Strategy Consulting experience within financial services.
✔️ Experience working in sectors such as Retail Banking, Payments, or Wealth Management.
✔️ Strong strategy development and project delivery experience, including the ability to produce tangible deliverables at each project phase.
✔️ Experience mentoring or managing team members (people management experience is a plus).
✔️ Strong quantitative and analytical aptitude – comfortable working with large/complex datasets and building business cases.
✔️ A solid understanding of strategic frameworks and the ability to apply them practically.
✔️ Excellent storytelling, presentation, and written communication skills.
✔️ Ability to navigate ambiguity, make judgment calls, and work resourcefully to find solutions.
✔️ Highly collaborative mindset with the ability to work across diverse teams.
✔️ Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
✔️ Passion for creative problem-solving and conceptual thinking.
✔️ Additional industry designations (e.g., CFA, CPA, or similar) would be an asset but are not required.
Total Rewards:
💰 Base Salary: CAD 72,000 - 138,000
💼 Bonus: Eligible for Deloitte’s variable pay/bonus program
