As a Senior Claims Analyst within the Living Benefit Claims Department, you will play a key role in adjudicating individual disability and critical illness claims. You will carefully review claims with the goal of ensuring all payable claims are accepted in accordance with individual policy terms. This is a permanent, full-time position offering the opportunity to apply your analytical expertise and decision-making skills in a meaningful way.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop each claim file by assessing medical, financial, and occupational factors required for claim adjudication.
• Review all collected information and make decisions to approve or deny claims based on policy terms.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including Medical Board, accountants, legal counsel, and fellow analysts.
• Communicate with policyholders, doctors, agents, and lawyers through letters, phone calls, and emails to request information, explain decisions, and defend claims policies and guidelines.

Requirements

• Bilingual in English and French (mandatory).
• Previous claims adjudication experience or similar role requiring strong judgment and decision-making skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently.
• Strong analytical abilities and ability to make independent decisions.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
• Excellent customer service skills to ensure positive interactions with claimants and stakeholders.

Compensation

• Annual base salary: 50,400 to 75,600 CAD (equivalent to monthly salary: 4200 to 6300 CAD)
• Additional compensation through annual bonus, commission, and other incentives may apply and will be discussed during the recruitment process.
