Description:
Summary of Key Responsibilities (job functions include but are not limited to):
- Support business process owners in the alignment of their business objectives with their processes.
- Support business process owners in the identification of financial and operational risks and the alignment of internal controls (controls as designed) to mitigate those risks.
- Ensuring business process owners understand their key financial and operational controls and that they modify these as risks change.
- Provisioning of a documentation standard, for processes and controls, and custodianship over existing documentation, that meets external audit standards.
- Provisioning of feedback reporting and other mechanisms to process owners over the operating effectiveness of key controls.
- Ensuring the University is compliant with external control documentation and monitoring controls standards.
- Provide business analysis support in system enhancement projects to Business Process Owners and Financial Systems Analysts during requirement gathering and solution design
Qualifications / Requirements:
- Professional accounting designation (CPA - CA, CMA, CGA).
- Minimum of 5 years post-designation of progressive experience.
- Strong experience in documenting business processes and process improvement is required.
- Experience with PeopleSoft system is a strong asset.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
