What You’ll Do:
- Greet guests as they enter and exit the store and control access to the property
- Encourage a positive and safe environment for all guests through effective communication, collaboration and partnership with the store team
- Supervise all store activities and respond to all security and safety matters in a timely manner
- Assist in mitigating loss and the protection of assets by maintaining strong operational controls
- Attend and participate in all store meetings and events
- Develop and maintain a professional relationship with external partners to ensure all parties are well-informed with current and relevant information i.e., local law enforcement agencies, mall security, other retailers etc.
- Ensure all facility safety procedures are followed in response to fire alarms and on-site emergencies
- Assess and assist in the establishment of security protocols for the store, including emergency response procedures
- Complete and submit incident reports, health and safety inspections, operational control checklists and action planning
- Conduct security audits intended to prevent property loss
- Provide new hire and continuous employee training to maintain store loss prevention awareness
- Support initiatives to maintain brand standards in the delivery and merchandising processes
- Work collaboratively with the Sr. Loss Prevention Manager to help influence brand strategies for mitigating loss
- Maintain standards for store security equipment
Let’s Talk About You:
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience working in a security services position in a retail setting
- Solid understanding of workplace safety and emergency procedures
- Previous experience in Loss Prevention
- Valid first aid and CPR certificates
- Possess Security Guard License, or willing to acquire required licensing
- Team player with a proven growth mindset
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Meticulous record keeping, report writing and observation skills
- Exceptional judgment and decision-making abilities
