Scintica is seeking a highly skilled Application Specialist with a strong background in in-vivo/intravital microscopy for rodents. Intravital microscopy is a powerful imaging technique that allows for real-time visualization of cellular processes within living organisms. What you will do:

 

As an Application Specialist at Scintica you will focus on supporting the team in driving sales of the microscopy systems in North America. This position involves:

 

Pre and post-sales application support:

  • Organize and conduct product demonstrations at customer sites or virtually to showcase the features and benefits of the product to potential customers
  • Provide comprehensive post-sales customer training and ongoing application support to ensure optimal utilization of product and customer satisfaction
  • Work with the logistics team in arranging assigned demo and training events

 

Sales development/support:

  • Identify and qualify leads through a combination of literature research, networking, outreach efforts, and other channels
  • Execute daily routine tasks for lead generation and follow-up, ensuring a consistent flow of potential opportunities
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, customer interactions using our CRM system
  • Contribute to the generation of quarterly reports for our esteemed manufacturing partners
  • Support funnel generation activities, i.e external seminars, workshops, webinars as per need
  • Perform any related duties that may arise, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in contributing to the team’s success

 

Supporting resources available to you directly will include scientific and technical support, infrastructure and systems, and access to training facilities. Other members of the Scintica sales and marketing team will also work closely with you to support your efforts as required.

Future career progression can include more senior sales responsibilities, product management and more involvement in our marketing initiatives. We have an ambitious growth plan which will provide an opportunity for a motivated individual to come on board while we continue to establish ourselves at the grassroots level.

 

What you will bring:

  • Bachelor’s or graduate degrees in Life Sciences, Biomedical Science or Engineering, Cellular/Molecular Biology, or a related field
  • At least 2 years of experience working in a biology lab
  • Demonstrated hands-on expertise in in-vivo microscopy, including sample preparation and microsurgeries
  • Working knowledge of fluorescence confocal and multiphoton microscopy techniques
  • Previous work experience outside academia is a strong asset
  • A strong sense of initiative, self-motivation, and organization
  • Strong communication and presentation capabilities
  • Ability to multitask with a strong sense of urgency
  • Willingness and ability to travel within North America to various areas as per business needs
