Description:
We currently have opportunities for Sales Agronomist positions for our Central and Southern Alberta. Sales Agronomists contribute to the overall success of our customers and our business - you are the one who our customers rely on for agronomic support and advice.
Responsibilities:
Visit producers on their farms and identify their agricultural needs specific to agronomy and crop production, contributing to increased sales volumes and overall territory market expansion
Provide agronomic advise, services and recommendation of crop input products/fertilizers
Present ATG product and services to groups and individual growers.
Schedule appointments, individual grower meetings, trade shows and group meetings
Develop opportunities to present ASLE research and on farm data with customers
Actively search for new opportunities that will enhance or expand ATG’s market presence and sales in the territory
Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications:
A degree in Agriculture and previous experience in crop inputs
Minimum of 3 years of applied agronomy/crop input/soil sampling/crop advisory experience.
Demonstrated knowledge of modern farm practices and industry regulations.
Experience in GIS, farm data platforms and ag technology would be an asset.
Proven ability to work independently, showing effective time management, planning, and multi-tasking skills.
Strong communication and organizational skills
The Certified Crop Advisor designation would be considered an asset
Excellent interpersonal and team-building skills with a positive attitude
