Sales Agronomist

 

Description:

We currently have opportunities for Sales Agronomist positions for our Central and Southern Alberta. Sales Agronomists contribute to the overall success of our customers and our business - you are the one who our customers rely on for agronomic support and advice.

Responsibilities:

  • Visit producers on their farms and identify their agricultural needs specific to agronomy and crop production, contributing to increased sales volumes and overall territory market expansion

  • Provide agronomic advise, services and recommendation of crop input products/fertilizers

  • Present ATG product and services to groups and individual growers.

  • Schedule appointments, individual grower meetings, trade shows and group meetings

  • Develop opportunities to present ASLE research and on farm data with customers

  • Actively search for new opportunities that will enhance or expand ATG’s market presence and sales in the territory

  • Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • A degree in Agriculture and previous experience in crop inputs

  • Minimum of 3 years of applied agronomy/crop input/soil sampling/crop advisory experience.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of modern farm practices and industry regulations.

  • Experience in GIS, farm data platforms and ag technology would be an asset.

  • Proven ability to work independently, showing effective time management, planning, and multi-tasking skills.

  • Strong communication and organizational skills

  • The Certified Crop Advisor designation would be considered an asset

  • Excellent interpersonal and team-building skills with a positive attitude
