Road Technician

Description:

Sunbelt Rentals of Canada Inc. is seeking a skilled Road Technician (Heavy-Duty Equipment Mechanic) to join our team in Metro Vancouver, BC. This is a full-time, permanent position where you will perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics on heavy-duty equipment while ensuring customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

✅ Equipment Maintenance & Repairs:

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs to minimize downtime.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues on various heavy-duty equipment.
• Ensure all repairs and maintenance adhere to company and safety regulations.

✅ Customer & Team Communication:

• Effectively communicate equipment issues with customers and supervisors.
• Attend and actively participate in branch meetings.
• Adhere to governmental, company, and equipment-related safety requirements.

✅ Additional Responsibilities:

• Safely and effectively use mechanic’s tools and equipment.
• Prioritize and manage work assignments efficiently.
• Remain flexible regarding work assignments as needed.

Qualifications & Requirements:

✔ High School Diploma or equivalent required (Technical school training preferred)
✔ Minimum 5 years of experience with similar heavy-duty equipment
✔ Working knowledge of individual equipment design and safety requirements
✔ Strong understanding of equipment safety protocols
✔ Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
✔ Good written and verbal communication skills
✔ Ability to prioritize work and adapt to changing assignments
✔ Owning mechanic’s tools is an asset, but not mandatory
