Recurring Part-time employees are hourly employees engaged to perform work on an irregular schedule.

Summary of Key Responsibilities (job functions include but are not limited to):

  • Produce high-quality hand-drawn coloured illustrations based on guidance from Principal Investigator and research team
  • Provides guidance on illustration and design to ensure the best possible product in alignment with Principal Investigator and research team needs and goals
  • Incorporates feedback and updates from Principal Investigator and research team respectfully and timely
  • Exercises judgement within established guidelines in making decisions regarding the project

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent certificate in a related field is required, experience in illustration and processes are essential
  • Minimum 2 years of related experience
  • Excellent knowledge of illustration and design programming and software, e.g., Adobe Creative Suite
  • Strong communication, conceptual thinking, illustration skills and design skills
  • Illustration skills applicable to hand-drawn coloured images is required
  • Strong understanding of illustration and design direction
  • Strong consultation skills to determine the nature and content of illustrations
  • Understanding of the illustration process beginning from conceptualization to development, e.g., mock-ups, first version and final version illustration
  • Excellent communication (oral and written), interpersonal, organizational, problem solving and time management skills; meticulous attention to detail; ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to problem solve in complex situations
