Description:
- Assist with the preparation of study materials
- Assist with tasks related to grant applications and manuscript preparation.
- Prepare applications to submit to the Scientific Review Board and Research Ethics Board
- Enter and review data for accuracy and completeness, including data re-entry and data cleaning
- Assist in administrative tasks related to clinical research (REB submissions, amendments, study maintenance)
- Assist with volunteer onboarding, training, and supervision
- Conduct literature reviews and keep current with study literature
Research Subject Related
- Screen patients for study eligibility
- Explain studies and obtain informed consent
- Coordinate study appointments or follow-up on study requirements
- Assist with data collection and organization
- Conduct health chart reviews
Here’s What You’ll Need
- Masters’ Degree (preferred) or related post-secondary degree in sciences, social sciences or a health-related discipline.
- One or more years research experience is preferred
- Ability to learn how to review and prepare study protocols
- Previous experience with grant applications is an asset
- Ability to function independently yet collaboratively within a team
- Outstanding communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office, Embase and MEDLINE searches, REDCap, EPIC)
- Effective communication, interpersonal, facilitation and organizational skills
