Description:
TalentCompass is seeking an experienced Reliability Specialist to join a client in Fort St. John, BC. This role is focused on the continuous improvement and development of reliability programs and processes with a direct impact on safety, efficiency, customer satisfaction, innovation, and quality. The position requires strong leadership in performing Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) and implementing corrective actions for complex and/or repetitive failures.
Key Responsibilities:

Root Cause Analysis Program:
- Develop, refine, and lead the RCFA program.
- Analyze equipment histories to identify and address repetitive failures.
- Drive lean initiatives across processes.

Downtime Tracking & Maintenance:
- Develop and administer a consistent downtime tracking program.
- Regularly review downtime reports and equipment histories to identify solutions for recurring maintenance issues.

Plant Condition Monitoring/PM Program:
- Lead the development and refinement of the condition monitoring and preventive maintenance program.
- Coordinate with Maintenance Planners, Schedulers, and Area Leaders to ensure scheduled activities are completed.

Plant Lubrication & Oil Analysis Program:
- Develop and lead the lubrication program, including the administration of an oil analysis program.

Maintenance Decision Support:
- Apply value analysis to make decisions on repair versus replacement or redesign.
- Specify and develop standard repair techniques for major repetitive tasks.

Standardization Processes:
- Develop standardization processes influencing new construction and equipment purchases, including materials, equipment, and spare parts.

Training & Development:
- Train, develop, and coach internal resources and key stakeholders.

Travel:
- Occasional travel required (approximately 10%).
Qualifications & Skills:

Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Manufacturing, Engineering, or equivalent is an asset.

Experience:
- Minimum of 5+ years in maintenance and reliability roles.

Certifications:
- Certified Maintenance Reliability Professional (CMRP) or similar certification is preferred.

Technical Knowledge:
- In-depth understanding of maintenance and reliability systems and process improvement.
- Strong grasp of engineering and design principles.
