Registration & Records Assistant

 

Description:

Reporting to the Coordinator, Registration and Records, the primary areas of responsibility for the Registration and Records Assistant (Student Services Assistant II) are to receive and input student applications and registrations, as well as answer and respond to the College telephone, in-person, and email inquiries. This position is the primary source of general information for Medicine Hat College regarding the College calendar, activities, facilities, courses, programs, fees and admission/registration procedures to students, staff and the general public.

As a successful applicant you'll have:

  • Administrative Office or Information Technology Certificate OR an equivalent combination of related education and work experience.
  • 2+ years of customer service experience.
  • An equivalent combination of related education and experience may be considered.
  • Essential to this position is managing the work within the required time constraints.
  • Skilled in data entry, multi-step reporting processes, cash transactions and general administrative duties in a post-secondary environment.
  • Communication and interpersonal skills to provide customer service.
  • Knowledge of student registration and financial procedures.
  • Considerable attention to detail for accuracy is required.
