Description:
Role of the Regional Leader
- Accompany, supervise and evaluate the communities in the region.
- Formulate provincial development and funding policies in consultation with community leaders and board chairs.
- Ensure unity and promote solidarity and sharing experience among communities of the region, with other regions in Canada and with the International Federation.
- Lead the regional council.
- Actively participate in the National Leadership Team.
Role Requirements
- Five years of experience in the area of community organizations serving people with intellectual disabilities.
- University degree in psychoeducation, social work, organizational management, or another related field.
- Demonstrated experience and skills in building development strategies and political advocacy.
- Excellent written and oral French; knowledge of English would be an asset.
- Proven interpersonal skills.
- Availability to travel frequently throughout the province and across Canada.
