Records Clerk

 

Description:

The Records Clerk types a variety of materials and performs a variety of clerical duties.This position works under the immediate direction of the Secondary School Administrative Assistant and under the supervision of the Principal.

Qualifications:
Grade 12 graduation/supplemented by typing 50 c.w.p.m. and general office procedures.

Six months to one year related experience.

Working knowledge in computer operations and current Student Information System,

such as MyEdBC.

Ability to operate various office equipment including photocopy, facsimile, public

address, postage machine, laminator, and shredder.

Ability to work with constant interruptions while meeting deadlines.

Ability to use judgement in carrying out established procedures.

Ability to use tact and diplomacy in contacts with parents, public, staff and students.

Good knowledge of Business English, spelling and punctuation.

Recognize and respect the confidential nature of all information related to students,

parents and staff.
