Description:
Trinity College School is currently searching for a receptionist to join our school community. In support of the School’s mission and vision, the receptionist plays a key role by presenting a friendly, professional and personal greeting to all callers and visitors to the School. The receptionist also supports the admissions office with data processing and initial inquiries to the School. This position reports to the Executive Director - Strategic Enrolment and is a full-time permanent position.
Specific Responsibilities
- Develops a positive, welcoming and caring climate in the front office
- Answers phone calls in a pleasant, informed manner for the purpose of providing information and supporting a positive and professional image of the School
- Greets all incoming students, families and guests respectfully and professionally
- Manages telephone message system (office hours and other recorded messages)
- Manages the School’s main email account
- Assists in entering new students into the School’s student information system (SIS)
- Works collaboratively with the School community to maintain accurate contact details in the databases for all current families
- Supports admissions with tasks and key projects when required
Considerations for the Preferred Candidate
- A post-secondary education
- Two to three years of experience with database management (experience with PowerSchool or Finalsite is a definite asset)
- Superior data processing skills, attention to detail and a very high degree of accuracy
- Excellent organizational, time management and project management skills
- The ability to work independently and as a team player
- An understanding and high respect for confidentiality
- Is courteous and diplomatic in dealing with others; able to work cooperatively as part of a team
- Able to communicate effectively, orally and in writing
- Able to establish and maintain positive working relationships with other employees and the general public
- Is welcoming and sensitive to the needs of visiting families
