Description:

Under the supervision of the Director of Health performs a variety of clerical duties including answering the telephone, reception of visitors, typing and maintenance of records and materials; as well as performs related work as required. Employees of this class are expected to consistently exercise a degree of initiative, responsibility, and working knowledge of policies, and procedures of the work place. This position is assigned work from the Director of Health & Social Development.

Position Description:

  • Answers and directs incoming telephone calls, records messages and relays them to the appropriate individuals.
  • Provides information and guidelines to visitors in tactful and courteous manner.
  • Performs other related duties

Qualifications:

  • Completion of grade 12
  • Office/Business Administration Certificate
  • Clerk Steno/Typist certificate from a recognized business college or 3 to 4 years similar office experience
  • Typing speed of 45 wpm and knowledge of computers
