Description:

The incumbent works to staff the Kiosk - Student Learning Centre and answer a variety of questions about the available services.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Reception / Kiosk Staffing:

  • Greets learners at kiosk in the Student Learning Centre;

  • Responds to email, chat and in-person questions and inquiries;

  • Acts as the first point of contact for the Student Learning Centre, guiding learners to the services the centre offers.

Peer Tutor Support:

  • Assists with Peer Tutor scheduling, bookings, and questions about payment in the Peer Tutoring platform, Tutor Ocean.

Room Bookings:

  • Provides directional support to students in the 2nd floor DARE district;

  • Assists learners with DARE District meeting room bookings.

Required Qualifications:

  • One (1) year certificate in Office Administration or related field;

  • Experience in a post-secondary environment;

  • Previous data entry/customer service skills preferred;

  • Experience in using MS Word or Excel;

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of information;

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;

  • Demonstrated effective organization, time management, and planning skills.
