Receptionist

 

Description:

Reporting to the Finance Supervisor, the Receptionist position is entry-level. The person will work for the Finance Unit. The person should be able to communicate well when answering phones, learn office procedures and use various office equipment, has basic computer skills and must maintain confidentiality. On the job training will be available for this position.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to speak one of the Nishnawbe-Aski language dialects is an asset.

  • A valid Ontario Driver’s Licence is an asset.
  • Must be able to pass a Criminal Records Check.
  • Must be willing and able to travel when requested.

 


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Answer phones and direct calls to appropriate person and take messages as required
  • Greet visitors when they come to the office
  • Prepare and coordinate couriers for pick-up
  • Prepare/deliver outgoing mail
  • Maintain and order office supplies for the Agency
  • Photocopying and scanning of documents in the unit
  • File documents
  • Maintain a neat work area and reception area
  • Other related duties as assigned by the Supervisor
