Description:
The Quality Engineer will supports the resolution of Customer Application and Product Quality incidents at Verdant. They will actively participates in Comfort Control’s New Product Development process (NPD) to ensure the right process controls are incorporated to product and process designs of new products. Finally, work with Quality representative at the manufacturing location to make sure that the right preventive actions are taken.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and drive Verdant’s Quality Strategy aligned with business priorities.
- Develop and manage Comfort Control standard Quality metrics including Cost of Quality and Customer PPM.
- Review product RMA metrics for improvements.
- Drive the 8D Problem Solving Methodology to address Customer Incidents.
- Coordinate and Report Failure Analysis Reports to Customers as necessary
- Work closely with the Comfort Control team at the manufacturing location to solve and prevent Quality incidents.
- Follow-up closely on Verdant’s New Product Development (NPD) Quality related deliverables to guarantee successful product launches.
- Lead Continuous Improvement initiatives at Verdant, Comfort Control manufacturing locations and Suppliers, including Lean,5S, Kanban, Six Sigma, etc.
Basic requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering or similar discipline.
- Experience in Electronics Quality for more than 3 years.
- Experience in the use of the 8D Problem Solving Methodology.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Works well in a fast-paced environment with independence.
- Ability to comprehend and interpret engineering drawings, quality requirements and customer specifications.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
- Travel up to 25%, mostly to St. Louis and Mexico
- Legal authorization to work in Canada now and in the future.
