Description:
This role is responsible for implementing Wawanesa’s Data quality management framework including metrics, processes, and best practices as well as helping employees build their quality skills and nurturing a holistic culture of quality throughout the organization.
Job Responsibilities
- Conduct the analysis, design, documentation, and implementation of quality processes and practices.
- Participate in the review of quality related deliverables such as risk assessments and test strategies, plans, and results
- Work with teams and leaders to understand their needs and quality impediments.
- Collaborate with teams and leaders to implement quality process improvements.
- Guide teams in the application of appropriate methods that address their quality impediments or improve their quality outcomes.
- Monitor the effectiveness of process improvements.
- Maintain quality related metrics and measurements.
- Measure and monitor quality trends at both the team and organizational level.
- Ensure quality process improvements comply with standards and best practices.
- Collaborate with teams on test planning, system integration and user acceptance testing.
- Collaborate with teams on test data creation and management.
- Promote a holistic view of quality and a culture and mindset of continuous learning and improvement.
- Be familiar with emerging quality practices, approaches, and tools.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Completion of post-secondary degree/certificate or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 2 years experience in data quality projects, systems analysis or business analysis
- Demonstrate knowledge in testing and quality management.
- Experience with industry leading data governance platforms. Informatica IICS DQ, DGDC platform configuration experience is considered an asset
- Experience in SQL, Excel, data profiling and analysis skills is considered an asset.
- Excellent analysis and problem-solving skills using a structured approach.
- Strong understanding of software delivery processes and tools.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner with an appropriate style for the audience and message.
- Strong listening skills, with the ability to probe for deeper understanding and surface underlying information.
- Strong planning and organizing skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Knowledge and experience in the insurance industry is considered an asset.
