Protocol And Marketing Coordinator

 

Description:

Reporting to the Strategic Marketing Manager, the Protocol and Marketing Coordinator is responsible for facilitating the Division’s work in external marketing and investment attraction through the coordination of marketing campaigns, ensuring all protocols are met for inward visits and delegations and providing support to outward missions. This position coordinates, collaborates, and provides regular updates to various key interested parties throughout the project lifecycle. This role also has an indirect reporting relationship to the Manager of Trade and Investment.

Education

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in business administration, marketing, office administration or related discipline.
  • An equivalent combination of education, experience and qualifications may be considered.

Knowledge

  • A minimum of 1-3 years of related experience, preferably working in municipal government.
  • Experience in economic development would be preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience managing small to medium scale projects.
  • Direct experience working with social media management tools.
  • Knowledge of protocols necessary for dealing with diplomatic formality, precedence and etiquette.
  • Knowledge of research and evaluation methodology, coupled with experience collecting, analyzing, synthesizing, and reporting on information/data is preferred.
