Our I&IT Security Office is seeking a Technical Project Manager on 12 months contract to manage various IT Cybersecurity initiatives. As a Technical Project Manager in ITSEC, as part of the I&IT Transformation, this role is accountable for client relationship management, delivery to scope, budget, timelines and quality, using a Lean Agile approach.
What will I be doing?
- Responsible for managing I&IT Cybersecurity directives and initiatives, including security projects, enhancements, optimizations, Infrastructure life cycle management, IT Operations, and business applications.
- Establishes, manages, and directs resources to ensure the necessary level and capabilities are represented on security projects and enhancements to ensure successful delivery of the initiative.
- Ensures that I&IT Cybersecurity projects and programs for new, replacement, enhancements or optimizing security infrastructure, maximize customer service, satisfy internal stakeholder requirements, incorporate external agency requirements, and serve public interests
- Provide regular updates to I&IT Management on various activities related to I&IT Cybersecurity optimizations, service providers, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are delivered and status is reported in a timely and accurate manner.
- Leads and coaches’ members of diverse and cross functional project teams, including consultants, in project management practices (e.g. project scope, budget, schedule, quality, risk, safety, etc.) to ensure projects deliver their outcomes within scope, budget and timelines.
What Skills and Qualifications Do I Need?
- Completion of a degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline – or a combination of education, training, and experience deemed equivalent.
- Demonstrated Experience in Agile Project Management including experience as a Scrum Master or Project Manager, preferably in leading IT Cybersecurity projects and technology related environments.
- Experience with Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Project and other recognized Project Management Tools. Experience of large complex transformational projects and multiple simultaneous projects. Experienced in facilitation, conflict resolution, influencing, and stakeholder management.
- Agile certification (Agile Certified Professional, Certified Scrum Product Owner) an asset. Project Management Professional (PMP) or PRINCE2 an asset. Cyber Security training and certification (CISSP/CISM, GIAC Security Essentials, Security+) an asset.
- Demonstrated progressive experience in Technology enhancements, Infrastructure planning, prioritization, and risk management.
- Experience implementing both OT(Operational Technology) and IT Infrastructure, Security devices/components, Applications and Software systems on premise and in the cloud would be beneficial. Familiar with Agile and scrum methodologies is an asset. Knowledge on various vendor technologies by Microsoft, Azure, Palo Alto, Cisco, HPE, Oracle, Certo, Zscaler, Okta and CyberArk would be an asset. Project Management Professional (PMP)designation an asset.
- Experience of I&IT Infrastructure services in Datacenter technologies/Cloud Infrastructure, Compute, SAN/Storage, Network LAN/WAN/IP, Remote Access & VPN, Load Balancers, Windows, Linux
- Effective written, oral, presentation and interpersonal skills to articulate and present advice, options and recommendations to senior management and business clients on projects and technology solutions.
- Leadership and management skills to manage and motivate cross functional teams and set high standards and clear expectations
