Project Manager, Information Technology

Description:

The Project Manager, Information Technology (IT), oversees the delivery and management of IT projects to meet corporate needs and support DCC’s IT vision and mandate. The incumbent identifies and schedules project deliverables and activities, leads IT project teams, ensuring compliance with business objectives, and monitors overall project performance. The incumbent is responsible for risk management and mitigation activities on projects. The incumbent develops creative solutions and ensures the project team is focused on collaboration, and quality and timeliness of deliverables.

Primary

• Lead the delivery and management of IT projects, including status reporting, resource planning, task management, risk management, budgeting and scheduling
• Develop detailed project descriptions in support of the corporate planning process
• Identify and schedule project deliverables, milestones, and required activities and tasks
• Provide guidance, training and coaching to other IT project managers and staff
• Coordinate activities of consultants and contractors
• Lead the change management process on IT projects
• Collaborate with business units to define IT project requirements
• Research, recommend, develop, document and implement solutions to enhance existing processes and improve the success rate of IT projects
• Develop and maintain a lessons learned approach for use on future projects
• Assess, mitigate and monitor risks associated with IT projects
• Develop and maintain effective relationships within DCC, and with industry, Client Partners and/or stakeholders
• Ensure quality standards are met, in line with corporate expectations
