Project Manager

 

Description:

We are looking for a broad generalist to oversee a wide range of engineering services projects including drafting, engineering, document management and AI Projects. The Project Manager plays a pivotal role in leading and overseeing projects within the Project Management Office (PMO). This position is essential for ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget, while also fostering a high-performing team environment.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Project Leadership:

o Plan, organize, execute, and finalize projects according to strict deadlines and within budget.

o Set short-term, project-specific tactical objectives, interacting directly with project-specific stakeholders, and manage resources efficiently to ensure successful project completion.

o Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that align with organizational objectives.

o Handle specific projects and their execution within the broader program, focusing on the project’s timeline and deliverables.

 

Team Coaching:

o Foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement within project teams by scheduling monthly feedback sessions with all team members.

o Provide coaching and mentorship to team members to enhance their skills and overall performance. To foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement, schedule monthly feedback sessions to review individual team member challenges and wins over the past 30 days.

 

Performance Management:

o Ensure quality control across various projects, establishing and maintaining quality metrics understood and adhered to, by all team members.

o Monitor project progress, adjusting and communicating necessary changes with relevant stakeholders.

 

Stakeholder Engagement:

o Communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders from sales, operations and the delivery team.

o Facilitate stakeholder meetings to ensure clear communication throughout the project lifecycle.

o Organize and lead feedback sessions for major projects, documenting results and learning from them to implement improvements for future projects.

 

Budget and Resource Management:

o Monitor project budgets and resource allocation to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.

o Identify and mitigate risks to ensure successful project delivery.

 

Qualifications

 

Education:

o Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or combination of trainings.

o Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred.

 

Experience:

o 5+ years of experience in project management within engineering services or a related industry.

o Proven experience in team leadership and coaching.
