Description:
As a member of the IT & IS Team, the Project Manager is responsible for the overall scoping, planning, monitoring, control, and completion of IT projects for a wide variety of business units and programs. Reporting to the Project Manager IT/IS, you will play a key part in identifying the approach to be used on any given project and managing the project through the Avenue Living project lifecycle.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
- Work closely with Avenue Living stakeholders to guide them through the initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closing of IT projects.
- Apply multiple project delivery methodologies (i.e., waterfall, iterative, scrum, kanban, disciplined agile, etc.).
- Assist in the development of business requirements, change management plans, and test plans where necessary.
- Facilitate open and frequent communication with the team and project stakeholders to identify risks, remove roadblocks and build an open and collaborative team environment.
- Capture and report regular project status and progress to the project team and Avenue Living leadership, including raising risks and issues that could affect project outcomes.
- Lead teams through the evaluation and selection of IT systems.
- Contribute to the development of standard Project Management processes, procedures, and documentation at Avenue Living.

WHAT WILL YOU NEED?
- 6-10 years of direct project management experience within IT/IS.
- A highly self-motivated and driven leader with exceptional interpersonal skills, strong mediation capabilities, and experience navigating dynamic environments.
- Ability to juggle multiple projects, manage conflicting priorities, and remove roadblocks for teams.
- Adept at leveraging effective techniques to quickly build a high-performing team.
- Great at setting up a team virtually and maintaining the health of a distributed team.
- Familiarity with multiple work management tools (i.e. MS Project, Jira Work Management) is an asset.
