Description:
The role of the Project Manager – Warehouse Distribution involves overseeing warehouse distribution projects within the GTA. This includes initiating new distribution centers, rolling out comprehensive automation systems, switching over current client functions, and introducing new client operations.
- Oversee projects from determining requirements to shaping the scope, arranging, and monitoring timetables.
- Administer project finances while consistently examining risk reduction methods.
- Apply company protocols in scheduling and implementing strategies.
- Supervise both in-house and third-party team members to secure needed upfit and purchasing.
- Collaborate with internal colleagues and clients for inventory transition planning and preparation of areas for testing and operational launch.
- Team up with the Engineering division to clarify project necessities and approve detailed designs.
- Work with Operations to create and enforce training schedules, benchmarks, standard operating procedures, user acceptance testing, and process transitions.
- Coordinate with WMS & IT engineers to supervise IT aspects, validate designs, organize testing plans, and manage budgets and changes.
- Foster and uphold robust, confidence-building connections with the team and stakeholders.
- Handle numerous projects and associated deadlines concurrently. Predict and relate the consequences of project activities on client obligations and anticipations.
- Exercise control over projects through systematic analysis, planning, assessment, and reporting.
- Cultivate trustworthy bonds with project teams, significant influencers, and senior management.
Experience
At least 5 years of Project Management practice.
