Project Manager

Description:

The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator with the ability to keep themselves and others accountable and focused on working within project constraints. They will have the ability to quickly adapt in a dynamic environment, effectively managing stakeholders and being actively committed to solving problems. A background in mechanical/industrial engineering and previous project management experience is required.

Responsibilities

· Liaise with customers and internal team members to establish scope, budgets, timelines, deliverables, and milestones

· Serve as the main point of contact for customers during the project lifecycle

· Work with engineering and manufacturing teams to address design/build issues

· Manage any change orders

· Oversee procurement to ensure the supply of all required raw materials, hardware, and parts

· Ensure milestone payments are triggered and paid at the appropriate stages

· Participate in testing, such as FAT with customers to demonstrate machine functionality and safety

· Coordinate shipment, installation, and commissioning of completed machinery

· Update management on project status on a weekly basis

Requirements

· Post-secondary diploma/degree in mechanical engineering

· 2-3 years of practical experience in the manufacturing field

· 2-3 years of project management experience (PMP certification is an asset)

· Some experience with SolidWorks, an understanding of hydraulic/pneumatic systems, and the ability to read and interpret 3D drawings are assets
