The opportunity

• The Project Management consultant will work within our clients PMO to help drive adoption and enhance the Technology Risk Management program framework of our client located in the US. The contract is fully remote; however candidates must be located within Canada for this engagement. The contract duration will likely be 3+ months with potential to extend. The selected candidate will be working 40 hours/week EST as the end-client is located in NYC.

What you will do:

• Seek to identify any improvements that can be made to the current risk and Issues management governance framework such as status reporting and risk & issue documentation
• Work with key business stakeholders to identify Risk & Issues and coordinate functional testing / ITQA and user acceptance testing
• Program management activities such as coordination of activity planning and issue management across multiple projects, consolidated status reporting, project resource management
• Collaborate with other department leaders to define, prioritize, and develop projects.
• Continuously evaluate projects to ensure they are meeting company standards, adhering to budgets, and meeting deadlines.

Your qualifications:

• A Bachelor's degree in Business, Administration, or a related field. PMP would be considered an asset.
• 2- 3 experience overseeing project activities within a financial services PMO
• Hands-On experience following IT Risk Management Frameworks ie. NIST, ISO, SOC, etc
• Hands-on experience working on Technology Risk Management initiatives is an asset (ie. Performing Technology Risk Assessments, IT Controls Assurance, IT Security Systems Engineering, Cyber Defense, etc.)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Good interpersonal and multi-tasking skills.
