Description:
Responsibilities include establishing effective project communication plans, as well as the proper execution of said plans and preparing status reports. To be a successful candidate, you will need to have proven experience in project management and the ability to lead a project team.
Requirements:
- Millwork and/or construction industry experience and knowledge is an absolute must
- Purchasing experience is a huge asset, and materials knowledge is required
- Autocad experience is a must
- Time management skills
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
- Oversee purchasing of materials and ensure that materials are received in a timely manner.
- Manage scheduling of project, and check the jobsites.
- Oversee projects and monitor their progress and completion.
- Liaise with Shop Foreman and shop staff, inside sales staff, and contractors.
- Have a thorough degree of knowledge with regards to the various aspects of a project.
- Project budget management experience would be an asset.
- Coordinate with team members to make sure that all parties are on track with project requirements, deadlines, and schedules.
- Meet with project team members to identify and resolve issues.
- Prepare and submit status reports to the General Manager.
- Facilitate change requests to ensure that all parties are informed of the impacts on schedule.
- Obtain customer acceptance of schedule.
- Manage customer satisfaction within the project transition period.
- Conduct post-project evaluation and identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.
