Description:

The Project Execution Engineer-In-Training role provides the opportunity to build a strong projects and technical foundation at an operating facility through exposure across all stages of project development and execution. Project Execution Engineers are responsible for successful cross functional, integrated project delivery on multiple projects concurrently. Project Execution Engineer-in-Training will take guidance from an experienced team member to assist with projects activities, may have the opportunity to lead multi-discipline teams for successful delivery of portfolio projects <$20M, and visit work sites and vendor shops.

Responsibilities

  • Participates in site safety programs supporting effective implementation of the Project Safety Plan and SSH&E expectations are met during project execution.
  • Provides directed (typically under PE Supervisor, Project Execution Team Lead) support of cost, schedule, and controls deliverables in support of broad skills development
  • During early project development, provides execution input to early stage project deliverables
  • Completes specific tasks in the development of the Project Plan, SSHE Plan and Contracting/Procurement Strategies and responsible for supporting implementation during project execution
  • Monitors and appraises contractor(s)' execution against plans and specifications and participates in developing improvement plans to close gaps in performance
  • Supports the project issue management plan and stewards appropriate actions to resolution.
  • Tracks project, functional, business, and other discipline support to ensure timely completion of reviews, resolution of technical queries, and required actions.
