Description:
This role is integral for the processing of applications under the Premise Identification Program (PID). This position makes decisions by collecting, verifying and analyzing information in order to maintain a high level of data integrity within the PID system; they will do this by resolving issues and inquiries from existing and potential PID account holders and advancing the Premises Identification (PID) system so that robust data is available for animal disease and emergency response activities. Additionally, having sufficient understanding of the fundamentals of traceability and the importance of premises identification is key. The role also requires a good working knowledge of livestock production systems, land coordinates in Alberta, and functioning of the overall livestock industry.
Program Delivery Specialist for AFFB
This role is integral for the processing of applications under the Alberta Farm Fuel Benefit Program (AFFB). This position involves: collecting, verifying, and analyzing information in order to maintain a high level of data integrity within the AFFB system; resolving issues and inquiries from existing and potential AFFB account holders; independently performing verification and compliance of applications and resolving eligibility issues; advancing the Alberta Farm Fuel Benefit Program and system; ensuring producer status, adherence to AFFB rules, regulations and subsequent benefits for AFFB eligible producers.
The ideal candidates will be able to communicate effectively and with confidence, both verbally and in writing, with internal and external stakeholders (E.g., Agricultural owner/operators/producers/farmers, members of the agricultural community including the crop and livestock sectors, and the general public). They will also have the ability to effectively transcribe verbal communications, and possess strong administrative, organizational, interpersonal, multi-tasking skills and an attention-to-detail.
Client and stakeholder interaction is essential to ensure accounts in the systems reflect accurate data. The ideal candidates will use their ability in teamwork, adaptability, troubleshooting and applied learning to ensure data standardization and applications are processed in a timely and accurate manner, and will contribute to works within the policy and processes of the AFFB and PID systems.
Qualifications:
· High school diploma and a minimum of 2 years of related experience.
· Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook).
· Experience in using Teams, SharePoint and One Drive is an asset.
· 1 year certificate in Public Administration, a post-secondary diploma in Agriculture, Business, Administration, or a related discipline is an asset.
· A good understanding of agriculture production operations and technology.
· Familiarity with Government of Alberta (GoA) applications including (AFFB, PID, SPIN, ROADS etc.) and knowledge of the FOIP (Freedom of Information and Privacy Act) is an asset.
