QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:


  • A college diploma, or equivalent, with legal secretarial, and/or administrative specialization.

  • A minimum of three years previous experience providing secretarial and administrative support in a confidential regulatory environment.

  • Solid understanding of Law Society regulations, mandate and protocols.
  • Knowledge of regulatory practices and procedures.
  • Sound knowledge of office practice, legal terminology and audit accounting procedures.
  • Speaks and writes in a clear, articulate manner to effectively respond and transmit information to team members.
  • Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet and database applications, internet and intranet, and other Law Society applications.


KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Client and Customer Service Planning

  • Processes and prepares over 600 authorized member files for the Practice Review program upon approval from Assistant Manager.
  • Acts as liaison among internal and external parties (i.e. licensees, Spot Audit, Professional Regulation) ensuring the effective flow of information and strict adherence to policies and processes.
  • Monitors case file progress, ensuring timelines are met; compliance with procedures and remedial action plans and escalating file to the Assistant Manager or Team Leader as required.
  • Attend department meetings as required to support Practice Review goals and initiatives.
