Production Engineer

This is a permanent full-time role based in Halifax Regional Municipality, Nova Scotia. The primary language of work is English. Qualifications:

  • Education Required: Engineering Degree;
  • Minimum of 4+ years shipbuilding / ship design experience;
  • Applied experience with exposure to hull/machinery/accommodation piping, electrical outfitting, and / or steel outfitting. Specific experience on AOPS project considered a strong asset;
  • Strong understanding of Shipbuilding production, planning, material requirements, facility / resource capacity;
  • Ability to navigate shipbuilding production drawings, PBOM, and 3D model required;
  • Comfortable in a dynamic environment with multiple stakeholders and able to navigate changing organizational structure and multiple ongoing programs;
  • Professional Engineering license and ability to develop engineered lift plans, production jig design, and supporting calculations;
  • High proficiency with AutoCad (2D/3D), MS Office suite of software and Adobe Pro.
