Product Manager

Description:

Accountable for Market Intelligence, including monitoring the competitive landscape, understanding market trends, and communicating competitive information to our leadership team. Accountable for Life cycle of product, including monitoring sales and profit, managing tasks related to the delivery of maintenance projects and supporting product development opportunities within the product lines. Accountable for being the Voice of the customer and advisor by identifying continuous improvement opportunities as well as defining and implementing solutions that show that we know our clients and we put them at the center of everything we do.

What will you do?

• Lead the continuous development of subject matter expertise as it relates to life insurance by becoming an expert on the Sun Life Individual life Insurance portfolio as well as the go to person for information about the Canadian market.

• As the subject matter expert:

  • Provide Tier 3 support for advisor, client, and administration inquiries regarding legacy products and the current product offering, thinking ‘outside the box’ to seek creative solutions within the terms of existing contracts or considering requests for exceptions.

  • Support the Marketing team with advisor and client communications as well as with creating and updating marketing materials, presentations, knowledge documents and campaigns to support our distribution partners and help grow sales.

  • Support product training activities related to onboarding of internal business partners as a well as advisors.

  • Support the Associate Product Manager by handling referrals, completing peer reviews, providing on-the-go coaching and being the back up on the team’s Inbox management activities.

• Supports the Director of Life Insurance Product Management with product management initiatives of the in-force block of business and provide support of some aspects of product development initiatives.
