Description:
Within the context of a client centred model of care, the Printing Operator/Office Clerk is responsible for providing a variety of support functions including reception, supplies fulfillment, filing, typing various correspondence, reports, statements and other materials, updating the billing database program, and performing clerical duties of a general nature according to established procedures. Provides backup support to the Printing Operators by completing customer requests for reprographic printing services, layout and duplicating services by utilizing current digital and other printing equipment and networked computer applications. Ensures quality standards are met to ensure final products either meet or exceed customer expectations.
What you’ll do
- Receives visitors/customers/public, provides information, and directs to appropriate personnel ensuring security policies are adhered to. Receives and directs incoming phone calls.
- Provides clerical support by typing various documents, maintaining accuracy and updating information in the billing and office database systems, ordering office supplies according to predetermined guidelines, and sorting and distributing mail.
- Records meter reads, process production forms and maintains records.
- Performs a variety of bindery duties such as drilling, collating, and stapling materials.
- Cleans reprographic equipment according to vendor specifications and changes supplies.
- Determines output requirements for each request and sets up machines, prints and checks proofs, scans and manipulates documents as required, runs jobs, ensures client specifications are met, and delivers final output.
- Utilizes current digital, and large colour and black and white reprographic equipment and networked computer applications to produce various printing jobs as requested by clients.
- Sets up and operates offset press equipment, performs adjustments as required, cleans and lubricates machine parts.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications
- Grade 10 plus three years’ recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

- As a strong asset for consideration, we are looking for our successful candidate to have: Knowledge of social, economic, political and historical realities impacting indigenous communities and familiarity with Indigenous Cultural Safety and anti-racism and accompanying reports (BC DRIPA, TRC, etc.).
