What You'll Be Doing

As a Principal Consultant you will:
 

  • Build partnerships with client stakeholders at the executive, management, and technical levels
  • Ensure the satisfaction and success of your client portfolio as measured via NPS and retention rates
  • Develop and share best practices in all aspects of client-experience management, and actively coach team members and colleagues in real-world scenarios through project-based work
  • Provide technical expertise and lead projects focused on driving down energy use intensity, while enhancing the health and resilience of our client’s assets
  • Direct in-depth studies and evaluations with the goal of identifying opportunities to reduce carbon emissions, as well as energy and water use
  • Support our clients’ teams to act on these opportunities – supporting the design, coordination and validation of the retrofits and operational adjustments
  • Influence the work of others, lead the work of your discipline, lead strategic initiatives, act as SME in multiple areas, and share expertise with team members
  • Strengthen adoption of Brightly Software Products by delivering data-driven insights coupled with industry best practices
  • Serve as an experienced advocate by working across organizational boundaries, relentlessly represent the voice of the client within client success, product, and sales
  • Foster an inclusive culture and promote diversity of thought internally and externally
  • Identify and take ownership in the team and corporate projects and initiatives to promote innovation and continuous improvement of our services
  • Develop new service offerings, leveraging our unique engineering and data analytics capabilities
  • Expand your craft by staying current with Brightly Software Product knowledge, best practices, and industry and vertical trends
  • Provide reports for internal company projects and financials
  • Collaborate with our Sales team on RFPs, quotes, and as a SME to properly scope and price new opportunities
     

What You Need To Have
 

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • P.Eng. designation
  • 10+ years of experience in a similar role with client industry/vertical market experience
  • Knowledge of SaaS products and operations
  • Experience using PSA (e.g. Salesforce and FinancialForce) and Microsoft Office suite
  • In-depth technical understanding of Building Systems, HVAC equipment, control systems, submetering systems, and utilities.
  • Recognition as an industry expert and contributor to Professional Industry Organizations as published author, content provider, public speaker, Podcaster, or influencer.
  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced professional environment and manage multiple complex assignments simultaneously
  • Commitment and curiosity for managing metrics and data-driven decisions
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to maintain strong client relationships, clear and concise verbal and written communication
  • Ability to interpret and make recommendations based on energy assessment reports, capital plans, and building owner objectives
  • Must be able to travel throughout North America- about 15%
