Pipe Integrity Engineer-in-training

 

Description:

Our South Bow Pipe Integrity team is growing to meet our business needs to function as an independent operator and we are looking to add a new team member in our Calgary location to support our Pipe Integrity Program.

We are seeking a Engineer-In-Training with competencies and capacity to support a diverse team of engineers to effectively implement our pipe integrity program to ensure the safe operations of our pipeline systems, and compliance with regulations.

What You Will Do
 

  • Analyze In-Line inspection reports for integrity management purposes and quality assurance
  • Interface with inspection vendors to assess anomalies and data quality
  • Develop excavation programs to ensure timely remediation of features
  • Participate in data management initiatives
  • Support senior engineers with a wide range of integrity threat management activities in the areas of, cracking, fatigue, dent, corrosion, risk, damage prevention and in-ditch assessment and repairs
  • Write engineering assessments, technical memos and reports as required
  • Support regulatory engagement and reporting activities for Canadian and US regulators
     

Minimum Qualifications
 

  • Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline
  • Registered, or eligible to register, with APEGA as an Engineer-In-Training
