Description:
Our Pipe Integrity Team in the Safety & Technical Services Department is seeking an experienced, focused, and motivated Pipe Integrity Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will support the pipeline integrity management program by performing engineering assessments and developing integrity program standards and procedures to protect our pipelines.
What You’ll Do
- Perform pipe integrity-related technical assessments
- Gather and analyze data in support of performing continuing service Engineering Assessments on in-service pipelines
- Develop and update integrity-related operating procedures to support the continual improvement of the Pipeline Integrity Management Program
- Gather and analyze integrity program data in support of communications, interactions, and performance measurement with the industry and the regulators
- Support initiatives to improve implementation efficiencies of the Pipe Integrity program and consistencies of program deliverables
- Provide support to pipe integrity teams and engineering governance teams as required
- Provide support to the field through periodic on-call shifts
Qualifications
- Post-Secondary degree in Engineering
- Must be registered, or eligible to be registered, as a professional engineer (P. Eng) with APEGA
- 4 years of related experience
- In-depth knowledge of applicable industry Codes and Standards related to pipeline integrity (e.g., CSA Z662 and ASME B31.8)
- Working familiarity with CER’s Onshore Pipeline Regulations
