Pharmacy Coordinator

 

Description:

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Pharmacy Operations & Performance Analytics, you will be responsible for coordinating core pharmacy initiatives and workload planning from an operational pharmacy perspective. The incumbent will act as a liaison between the Pharmacy Operations team and various internal and external contacts. This role includes the communication and execution of pharmacy initiatives. This role supports Pharmacy Operations Specialists and is a liaison between Central Office departments, store teams and external stakeholders. The scope of the role encompasses the following broad functions: problem solving and troubleshooting, managing vendor relationships, supporting operational programs, and pharmacy day-to-day support.

 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Assist in the delivery of pharmacy related initiatives that drive pharmacy performance.
  • Required to review Pharmacy communications for accuracy (including all programs and communications to account for regional variations) and intent along with monitoring information distributed to stores and questioning communications that may be operationally challenging for the Pharmacy Team or currently requiring further investigation.
  • Create and submit communications for stores to the internal communication platforms.
  • Create incident tickets and identify assigned groups to ensure timely resolution.
  • Work with Central Office stakeholders to ensure operational excellence is adhered to with the introduction of new and updated initiatives that meet pharmacy workflow standards.
  • Support the development and initiatives to continue to drive pharmacy business.
  • Acts as a liaison with other departments representing Enterprise Pharmacy Operations development, ensuring that Pharmacy Operation Standards are adhered to.
  • Responsible for regional and store level communication with respect to various pharmacy activities
  • Support the development of content for the monthly national pharmacy operations update, content for field resources on the bi-weekly national operations call.
  • Support Pharmacy Operations Specialists on national pharmacy initiatives
  • Assist with monitoring individual store compliance with pharmacy standards through analysis of pharmacy reports, and follow-up with District Managers and Pharmacy Operations Specialists on non-compliant stores.
  • Responds to operational issues and questions to provide guidance to the Pharmacy Operations teams, Regulatory team, and Internal Pharmacy departments to resolve issues in a prompt and efficient manner.
  • Liaise with finance to ensure any ad-hoc invoices are processed in a timely manner.
  • Other projects and duties, as identified and assigned.
  • Occasional travel may be required.
  • This position requires a demonstrated level of initiative and judgment in order to organize and prioritize tasks, workload and projects. Courtesy, tact and diplomacy are required in dealing with colleagues in every day working relationships.

What You'll Need

  • Post-Secondary Education preferred, but extensive Store/Pharmacy experience considered. Additional courses in Business Administration considered an asset.
  • Strong communication skills (Written and Verbal)
  • Quick learner: ability to rapidly assimilate new concepts and idea and willingness to learn
  • Self-starter: demonstrated initiative and ability to prioritize
  • Ability to maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders and work with diverse personalities and styles.
  • Comfortable with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, and other Microsoft Suite applications
  • Fluency in both official languages (English and French) is an asset
