Skills & Abilities:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of payroll related legislation as well as full cycle benefit administration.
  • Experience with using Microsoft Office suite, and advanced data entry skills.
  • ERP systems experience and knowledge of PeopleSoft HCM would be an asset
  • Strong team player with a commitment to professionalism and excellent customer service
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as outstanding analytical skills are required to effectively deal with all clients and internal/external stakeholders.
  • Aptitude for critical thinking and time management.
  • Experience in working with cross functional teams.

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education or equivalent work experience, preferably with payroll, benefits and pension experience.
  • Completed certification through the National Payroll Institute preferred.
  • Nearly-completed certification through the National Payroll Institute considered.
  • A good understanding of full cycle payroll in union and non-union environments, including experience with G/L reconciliations and accounting entries.
