Description:
Someone who is passionate about media and sound art and is interested in supporting the creation of inclusive opportunities to engage artists and communities in media art experiences through grant writing and creative problem solving. The Partnership Manager is a liaison between the two organizations and will build partnership activities through conversations with external parties. The ideal candidate has excellent interpersonal and communication skills. We are a small team, therefore the successful candidate must be self-motivated and able to work independently while coordinating efficiently with other staff and administrators of the City of Regina owned facility in which the AGR is a tenant.
Some tasks include:
writing grant proposals for media arts programming & partnership opportunities;
researching media arts organizations, sound festivals, and other sound art programming initiatives;
gathering community feedback by meeting with external organizations and collectives;
coordinating between holophon and the AGR;
occasional administrative and programming coordination for holophon;
assisting with occasional holophon events and programs;
some gallery operational activities when on-site (opening & closing the gallery, greeting visitors, processing financial transactions for memberships & sales).
Qualifications:
Interest in sound art and media arts;
Some familiarity with media arts in the Prairies;
Comfortable working independently and on a small team;
Some grant writing experience;
some experience research and writing reports;
Some experience with community outreach activities or programming coordination;
Comfortable with technology and online platforms;
An excellent communicator who enjoys building connections and partnerships through conversation;
Responsive and organized;
Comfortable with a flexible schedule;
