Oracle Fusion Senior Database Engineer

ONxpress Operations Inc. (OOI) is at the forefront of transforming the Greater Golden Horseshoe's transit system, in partnership with Metrolinx. We oversee the operations and maintenance of GO Transit rail network and Union Pearson Express, supporting the GO Expansion program.

We are looking for an Oracle Fusion Senior Database Engineer to lead the administration, management, and optimization of Oracle Fusion Integration Cloud and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. This role is crucial in designing, implementing, and maintaining Oracle environments to enhance business operations and strategic growth.

Key Responsibilities:

🖥 Database Administration & Management:

• Administer, manage, and support Oracle Fusion, Oracle Integration Cloud, and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure

• Perform installation, configuration, patching, and upgrades of Oracle databases

• Optimize database performance for high availability and reliability

• Implement security policies, user access control, and database permissions

• Facilitate database backups, recovery, and disaster recovery planning

• Troubleshoot and resolve database issues, ensuring 24/7 operational support

📊 Development & Compliance:

• Collaborate with development teams to design and implement Oracle database solutions

• Develop and maintain run books related to Oracle database schemas

• Conduct audits and reviews to ensure best practice compliance

• Stay updated with the latest Oracle technologies and advancements

📈 Data Integration & Reporting:

• Design Oracle custom reports and support data extraction for third-party system integration

• Understand Oracle data structures to facilitate efficient data ingestion and extraction

Qualifications & Skills:

✅ Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field
✅ Experience: Proven experience as an Oracle DBA with expertise in Oracle Fusion Middleware
✅ Technical Skills:

• SQL, PL/SQL, Shell scripting

• Oracle RAC, ASM, Data Guard, RMAN

• Oracle Enterprise Manager and monitoring tools
  ✅ Preferred Qualification: Oracle Certified Professional (OCP)
