Description:
Under the general direction and guidance of the assigned Supervisor; is responsible for performing various clerical and office
duties both corporately and specific to the Kenora area operation.
- Performs clerical work related to the operation of the Lines & Operations and AM&E Divisions, not limited to, and
including filing, typing, completion of forms, data entry and processing P-card statements.
- Facilitate work orders for Lines, Operations and Locates.
- Respond to customer inquiries and requests, forwarding such to the appropriate party if necessary; assists with
requests for information (internal and external); performs general reception duties.
- Assist the Lines Supervisor with general administrative tasks.
- Reconciles purchasing receivers and invoices.
- Receive and issue material using the organization’s MRP system.
- Responsible for the overall organization and maintenance of the inventory storage area.
- Records and distributes minutes for meetings.
- Assist in organization of corporate events.
- Processes time sheets (including overtime), maintains and balances banked overtime for Lines & Operations and
AM&E staff, checks and balances at the end of the pay period for payroll purposes.
- Dispatches emergency calls as necessary.
- Performs such other related duties as may be assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Mandatory
- Secondary school graduation together with two (2) years of customer service, data entry, and office/clerical
experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience with computers and related software and excellent keyboarding skills with accuracy are required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office software applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook and Access.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, customer relations, and interpersonal skills with a commitment to
continuous improvement and teamwork are also necessary.
- Must have proven initiative and be able to work effectively on their own and be able to successfully adjust to multiple
and shifting priorities as required.
