Description:
The Office Assistants will report to the Director of Housing and/or her delegate and be responsible for a range of activities including:
- Organize and implement the summer social programs and events for tenants within the context of and in compliance with all infection control protocols in place, including COVID-19
- Plan and develop materials and events for seniors/tenants within the context of and in compliance with all infection control protocols in place, including COVID-19.
- Education sessions for tenants in ensuring they are protected for infectious diseases including COVID-19 among others.
- Assist with the preparation of community materials including newsletters, brochures, and other materials
- Assist with the implementation and data input of several surveys
- Assist with administrative projects as required
- Follow the Occupational Health and Safety Act in all job duties
The successful participants will possess:
- Knowledge of Program/Project Management /Community services/ Activation/ Gerontology
- Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Legislation.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Excellent computer skills (including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher)
- Organizational and time management skills
