The Network Engineer will report to the COO and will act as a liaison between our Support and Engineering teams. The ideal candidate will take a self-directed approach to problem-solving, have a passion for technology, and have previous experience working with a wireless or ISP provider. Responsibilities:
- Keeps up to date on industry, and suggests efficiencies and best practices
- Accountable for ensuring the technical team is equipped and prepared to provide best-in-class support
- Responding to technical alert notifications on client servers and network appliances
- Creating and managing technical tickets
- Managing IT-related alerts and notifications
- Providing technical support services to Servers, Network Appliances, and End-Users
- Coordinating with other team members
- Evaluate new products and technologies for use internally or to offer to EGATE's clients
- Scheduled and ad hoc on-call assistance as required, both remotely and on-site at EGATE's data centers
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of practical, hands-on network management
- Highschool diploma or relevant college program
- In-depth knowledge of network concepts, devices, and protocols
- Expert-level knowledge of industry network protocols
- Experience with network operating systems such as Cisco IOS and Juniper
- Experience configuring and managing firewalls such as Cisco ASA/FTD, Palo Alto Networks PAN-OS, and Fortinet FortiOS
- Creative problem solver with solid troubleshooting skills
- Customer service orientation
- Applicants must be proficient in English communication, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
