Description:
The ROAC National Coordinator will manage the business and administrative work for ROAC in addition to communicating with the Board of Directors and the Administrators from each jurisdiction to support all committees and subcommittees of ROAC.
Essential Responsibilities
- Logistics and program support for ROAC’s Board and Administrators’ Committee meetings and the annual general meeting
- Basic accounting support for fiscal management of programs and activities
- Stewardship of archives and corporate knowledge
- Coordination of correspondence, reports, and data collection
- Proactive coordination of all committees, subcommittees, and task forces to keep projects moving forward
- Responsibility for ensuring the organization remains compliant with all requirements under the Not-for-Profit Act
- May coordinate contracts for other individuals sub-contracted to the organization
- Other administrative duties as required
Qualifications
- Relevant Post Secondary Degree or Diploma
- Conversational (oral) and comprehensive (written) English and French is mandatory
- Proven professional attitude and decorum, with the ability to communicate effectively
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Cloud Suite
- Familiarity with bookkeeping practices, including the ability to prepare simple financial schedules and financial reports
- Knowledge of Canadian self-regulatory or specific provincial/territorial or national self-regulatory environment an asset
- A demonstrable high standard of confidentiality
- Assertiveness and ability to initiate
- Self-driven work style
- Ability to work in a hybrid environment, some time in office at the Edmonton Location
- Ability to travel
