National Account Manager

 

Description:

Cogent Communications, a globally recognized Tier 1 ISP and NASDAQ-listed organization, is hiring National Account Managers to support its continued growth within the Mid Market and National Account segments (500–999 employees). This role is in-office five days a week and demands a proactive and strategic approach to business development.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within a designated regional and national territory.

  • Utilize direct calling, email campaigns, and research to qualify prospects and set appointments with key decision-makers.

  • Conduct fieldwork, including building walks, property visits, lobby events, and in-person client meetings to increase market presence.

  • Apply consultative selling strategies to position Cogent’s services to address both current and future client needs.

  • Meet or exceed monthly revenue targets by targeting commercial buildings, business parks, and large retail centers.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated success in sales and business development, preferably in telecom or technology industries.

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Capable of thriving in a fast-paced, quota-driven environment.

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and CRM tools is a plus.

  • A college degree is preferred but not mandatory.

Work Environment:

  • Full-time, on-site role with mentoring, training, and personal coaching.
